Questions
Ask with place names, or with the letters and numbers you see on signs and number plates.
Questions you get wrong are asked again at the end of the round.
Plates are blurred as they are in the game, and only plates you can still recognise are asked.
Tells you whether the state uses front plates before you answer.
The wrong choices look like the right answer instead of being random.
Place names are real towns and regions. Letters asks single letters, the weakest most often.
Typing takes any accents and small spelling slips (Nizhny for Nizhniy). Multiple choice gives four readings to pick from.
Your weakest letters in this script, with how many times you've read them right. Saved in this browser.
The country's largest towns and cities, by population.
Zooms the map in on one region and greys out the rest of the country. Asks the region's places among the ones above (or its own largest, if few of them are there).
How close your click has to be to the place. Points go up the closer you get either way.
Show the names of places, roads and rivers on the map. Easier, but some names give the answer away.
Shows how long each round takes.
After you answer
How long the answer stays on screen before the next question. "Manual" waits until you press Next or Enter.
Map
Colour the map by state, or show the area each code really covers.
Colours draws the areas in flat colours. Real map shows them over an OpenStreetMap map, with its place names hidden.
Gives each part of the country its own colour.
